what? i'm updating? shocker, i know.
i guess i promised an update with lots of pictures, so here i am, biting my words. enjoy~
vancouver
went this past august for my immediate cousin's wedding [3 down, 6 to go!]
the views from my aunt's house

congrats Brad! no longer the asian steve erkel with dorky glasses!
all hail the open bar. on the left: several 2nd-cousins, who jess and i had to "compete with", which is totally not fair b/c they're like 6' somethings and 200 lbs.
jess and i [with our other cousin spencer, who goes to Punahou High School in Hawaii, which is the same school Michelle Wie the golfer goes to, and he says she's a freak with no social life] arpeet, now youuu get to stalk her when she goes to Stanford.
parents and i at the "twin lions" or something rock formation
fall 06 was very interesting. classes went well [-ish] and i got a job. i work at the Bryce Jordan Center here at penn state, catering to your needs at the lovely concession stands.
winter break
got home later than all my friends but got right to hanging out. on saturday the 23rd, went to scott's house and played with his wiiiiiiii [i pretty much own at boxing]
michelle gettin' her shooting on

then i went to a family friend's house for a party at night [basically grew up with these lovely ladies]
we are the product of 6 wonderful parents, 5 of them best friends from Cal State Fullerton [including my parents]
then yvan [my other cousin] and his girlfriend came over for christmas eve, had dinner, then we went to his house to sleep over. woke up the next morning and opened presents yayyy

the 2 most notable gifts i got were my own credit card [as in, under my income, name, social security number and everything] and a necklace from Tiffany's.

new year's eve
had a small get-together at mi casa, had some cookies, played board games, and of course, celebrated the new year with apple cider and pop-pops. [okay so they weren't 'pop-pops' this time, they were generic 'pop-its' i bought from Sam's Club]
Michelle's birthday lunch
went to BJ's in Brea [Cheesecake Factory was too crowded]
Laker game vs. Denver Nuggets [1/5/07]
okay so here was my train of thought:
- bought tickets on ebay a while ago --> very excited
- lamar odom gets hurt --> slightly depressed
- carmelo anthony and j.r. smith get their asses suspended, won't play this game --> increasingly upset
- allen iverson traded to the nuggets --> slightly less upset, even a bit excited
- kwame brown injured --> "what the hell"
atleast luke or kobe didn't get hurt, or else i woulda cried.
so after lunch with everyone, we went to Michael's to buy t-shirts and spray paint to make our sign and shirts [yes, i'm hardcore like that.]
okay so with my clever idea and sam's crazy art skills, here is our masterpiece:
get it?.. cuz allen iverson is often called "the answer"... so "answer this"... and then it's kobe... yea. hahah don't hate
arpeet tryyying to be gangster; us working on the shirts
as arpeet put it, "stacy, i've never put so much effort into a game i WASN'T in... why are we doing this" [look at our intensity yo]
final outcome [arpeet as smush, sue as jordan, michelle as kobe, and me as luke, of course]
yeee the huge kobe poster in the front of Staples
okay so, sad story ~ apparently Staples Center doesn't allow signs bigger than 11x19 [unbeknownst to us at the time] and our sign is clearly a lot larger. after this older black couple behind us in line told us to hide it, the guard cuaght arpeet with it. basically after some drama, we ended up watching arpeet as he walked back outside, folded the sign, and depressingly tore it in half.

all in all, kind of an anticlimatic game because we blew em out, but my luke shot 4-5 from 3-point land! so hotttttt
more pics from the game are uploaded on facebook
p.s. driving in LA sucks.
Las Vegas
we got a suite for the 7 of us at the Venetian [2 queen beds and a pull-out sofa]
some views
we also saw 'O' the cirque du soleil water show thing at the Bellagio ~ it was pretty crazy cool and amazing. lil creepy at times, like when the mongolian contortiontist chicks did their act.
People's Choice Awards
and last but not least, my other cousin Jeanne who works at CBS, got me tickets to the award show on tuesday the 9th. [again, driving in LA is a bitch]
sam and i getting readyyy
the red carpet
inside the show
the after-party [i talked with Vince Vaughn!]
ahhh! sam and i with the cast of Heroes! well, some of them atleast ~ isaac the painter, hiro!, and the cheerleader yeeee so much fun
the guy who plays Mark on Ugly Betty [the show just won a Golden Globe tonight!] and Callie + the Chief from Grey's Anatomy [who also won a Golden Globe] eating some of the fancy food they served
and now i'm back at penn state, where it's oddly enough a lot warmer than it was in orange county. classes are gonna suck, but i'll live.
